StoryMakers™

Program Overview

StoryMakers™ is a comprehensive program dedicated to fostering language and literacy development in Early Childhood and Elementary-aged children. Within a nurturing environment, our students embark on a journey to acquire a diverse range of skills. These skills encompass reading and writing proficiency, effective communication, critical thinking, imaginative capabilities, the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly, and the cultivation of confidence and independence. Our dedicated educators guide students through purposeful activities and exercises, all aimed at enhancing these fundamental abilities and empowering students to become more effective communicators, better at self-expression, and more self-assured in their capabilities. The program is meticulously designed to provide children with the essential skills required for success in language and literacy.

StoryMakers™ centers its focus on empowering children to unleash their creativity and nurture their roles as storytellers and public speakers. Through engaging activities and exploration of various materials, our program is specifically designed to elevate children's writing skills and inspire them to communicate effectively. We strive to bolster their confidence and self-esteem as speakers within a supportive and inclusive community where they can share their stories with fellow learners. We hold a deep belief in the significance of instilling a love for reading and writing in children and empowering them to make a meaningful impact in the world by sharing their stories. We take immense pride in providing a space for students to delve into the enchantment of storytelling and offering the support they need to grow into confident and proficient readers, writers, and speakers.

STORYMAKERS™ ACTIVITIES

EXPLORE:

In this phase, students are encouraged to delve into the world of storytelling materials with the guidance of the teacher. These materials can include books, images, objects, or any other resources that spark creativity and imagination. By exploring these materials, students can gain inspiration for their storytelling journey.

IMAGINE, DEVELOP, RECORD:

In this phase, students use the inspiration from their material exploration to imagine and develop personal stories. They brainstorm characters, plots, and settings. Then, they record their ideas, which can involve writing, drawing, or multimedia. Loose materials are used to visually represent their narratives and create art projects, enhancing the storytelling experience.

PRESENT:

The final phase involves students presenting their own creations. This could be through oral storytelling, sharing written work, creating visual presentations, or even acting out their stories. Presenting their stories not only showcases their creativity but also strengthens their communication and presentation skills.
